Daily Scripture: Nourishment for your Soul

Romans 11:36 (NIV) “For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.”

Because of Jesus, we have life. Not just the temporary life we experience here on earth, but the gift of eternal life. Through His love and mercy, He willingly chose to pay the price for our sins on the cross so that we could be reconciled to God.

The name of Jesus should be next to the word love in the dictionary. No greater love has ever been shown than a Savior laying down His life for those He came to save. When we truly understand the depth of His sacrifice, it becomes easier to trust Him completely. He has given us His Word—the Bible—as our guide for life. The Creator knows what is best for His creation, and His instructions are given out of love, wisdom, and a desire for us to walk in truth.

There is nothing we could ever give and nothing we could ever do that would be enough to repay Him for what He has done for us. Yet He is not asking for repayment. He simply wants our hearts. He desires a personal relationship with us and invites us to surrender our lives to Him.

Every person who has ever lived will one day face death. No one can escape it. But because of His great love, God gives each of us a choice: eternal life through Jesus Christ or eternal separation from Him. He is such a loving God that He will never force Himself on you. The gift of salvation is freely offered, but it must be received.

If we choose life—if we choose Jesus—then our lives should reflect that choice. Everything we do should be done for His glory, not for our own recognition, success, praise, or personal gain. Our purpose is not to build our own kingdom, but to point others to His. Every prayer, every act of kindness, every conversation, every blessing, and every opportunity should be used to honor the One who gave everything for us.

For from Him, through Him, and to Him are all things. May everything we do be for His glory alone.
